Bringing the Outside In

I just spotted this picture making the rounds again on Pinterest. Over the past few years, this picture has popped up a number of times - it's a great design, and an eye-catching photo.

I actually have the original in my personal "inspiration" folder. It's from the Fall 2009 Chicago Tribune Magazine. The North Shore home that is featured is beautiful throughout, but the original 2 page spread of the kitchen is amazing.

Full-overlay cabinets in a simple Shaker style allows the view outside the window to be the focal point. The slab drawers and white painted finish make this kitchen a timeless classic.

Who needs artwork when you have such a lovely view; I bet it is gorgeous in the fall!
